Aandacht voor Veiligheid
The Safety First project (in Dutch Aandacht voor Veiligheid, or AVV) investigates how long-term changes in climate, land use, governance and socio-economic trends will affect flood safety in the Netherlands. The project will deliver a decision support system (DSS) that uses maps and images to show how spatial adaptation responses can make the Netherlands climate-proof on the long term. Water expertise and spatial planning are therefore central to the study.
